Not at all. In the private sector, an incompetent employee is much more likely to be history.


In my experience, few employees get fired for incompetency.....malfeasance, yes; incompetency no.

Doesn't always happen, but it does one hell of a lot more frequently than in government.

I agree with that......but I am unsure the frequency is as great as you suggest. Most incompetent people are not fired for one consideration or another. However, I will agree that they are the first to get laid off when there is a recession.
