Not surprised. That's why all those people were dying in Europe last summer. With no air conditioning, those temperatures can be a killer. Makes me respect my ancestors, who not only didn't have AC, but farmed.


Amazing.....it makes you wonder how they did it. Actually, I am allergic to the heat. It literally makes me sick. I think genetics has a lot to do with it.....my father's family was from a mountainous area of Europe [not the Alps]and I think that's why my body functions better in cooler weather than in warm.

I don't live in Houston any more. We moved to Bryan-College Station. Not quite as hot or humid. Not that the difference is all that noticeable...

Isn't that near Austin?
