The US is not interested in Afghanistan because Iraq is all about Israel...
Wolfowitz, the architect of the invasion of Iraq is the most dangerous person in the world.

Money spent on the endless war in Iraq could much better have been spent on building up the economy of Afghanistan. Making friends instead of enemies.

I'm sorry Malcolm.. I disagree.. Where do you think people like Osama Bin Laden and other Wahhabists received support to take the extremist views and infect Afghanistan with religious intolerance??

It's coming out of Saudi Arabia Malcolm.. And we can't create change in that kingdom unless we have both a stepping stone, a positive example of economic and social growth that dissuades that people from following militant Wahabbist dogma.. And we certainly can't just attack them without having a reserve supply of oil on hand to supply the global economy.

But make no mistake.. Afghanistan is just the periphery of the battle. The heart is in Saudi Arabia (for the Wahabbists and Sunnis), and right here in Iraq for the Shiites... Control and change the "heart" and the religious "body" will follow.

But it will take time to effect, if in fact it's not already too late...

As for those other countries, I really don't see them do much of anything except ranting and raving about what Bush has been doing.. I see France is showing belated concern about Sudan and threatening the introduction of troops there to stop the humanitarian disaster..

Maybe Bush should make some private deals with the Sudanese government to block France's attempts to drive the UN into such a plan?

But no.. of course, then we'd STILL be the bad guys.. now wouldn't we? France can put its economic interests ahead of the UN and suffer no repercussions.. But boy o boy.. let the US find itself in such a situation and world "opinion" unites against us..
