The latter is concerned with taking action that get's positive results. You keep coming back to the same thing; Bush is good because he does something, even if it's the wrong thing. 900 lives, most of the world thinking we are the most dangerous country, huge deficits, most of the ME unstable, Bush certainly did something.

It's pretty simple for me, I've lived through a lot of President's that made mostly good decisions that made the world and the US an incrementally better and safer place, both Dems and Reps. Bush has "taken more action" than any President I remember, but the results have been decisively negative. If that's OK with you, then there is nothing we have to discuss.

But let me ask you one last question. After reading the New Yorker article, did you have even just a little bit more respect for Kerry?
