We have had companies guiding higher.....maybe just not YOUR companies. Lets not get petty here. I own 3 stocks right now, because this is a bear market, or one hell of a correction however you want to characterize it. IBM's conference call was FULL of the term "difficult sales environment". Nobody is guiding up, about a week ago we had a downgrade of 30 semi companies all in one day. Sure there is one or two standouts like maybe ipix and a few other small names. But thats it. The market is reflecting this reality. I still say the market at least stalls around the 1780 area, and then maybe a further slide or a little relief for a while.
