The rightwing started the hatred and divisiveness. It came from Lee Atwater's political dirty tricks theories (coming out of the Nixon southern strategy) which worked against Dukakis so well that GW and others adopted them. That is to use wedge issues like abortion, race, gays, guns and God to brand half the nation as "evil and un-American". Meanwhile, the rightwing is the center of political corporate corruption, polluters, gougers and pigs at the public trough. Many of its "Christians" are about as un-Christian as they come too. They carry the cross but are thoroughly unethical. Just like the chickenhawks are often AWOL draft-dodgers who bash and slander real war heros. The advent of the Limbaugh and Hannity style brash rightwing propaganda also started us down the road which led to Michael Moore and which now has to be stopped and healed. BTW though, Moore is much more truthful than Hannity and Limbaugh. Moore used a fact-checker to vette everything in his film. Hannity and Limbaugh have no such concern for accuracy. They dont care if you catch them in a lie. Same with Drudge, Newsmax, etc. Also, on an ethical behavior level, the rightwing doesn't care if they are drug addicts (Limbaugh), gamblers in Sin City (Bennett) or gay (Drudge, Coulter), they don't believe they should be held accountable for their own behavior. Meanwhile they insists Clinton is "evil" for hetero sex. Let's face it, Clinton gave us the best economy of all time and Kerry can make this nation stronger and safer. Bush-Cheney are also liars, cheats and often inept. That's the reality which the rightwing now must smear.
