Think of all the paychecks Kerry has received for doing nothing and all the votes he has missed...

Dole retired, he was getting so old he knew that it was his last shot at the Presidency, and was tired of just being a Senator.

Good question...didn't the democraps make Dole resign when he ran for President?

It's called integrity. A term unfamiliar to John Kerry. Dole knew he would not be earning his pay as Senator, so he resigned(retired). Understand, while Kerry is off running for Pres. his Senate office continues to operate at the cost of millions of dollars, while accomplishing nothing. Kerry is a fraud, in more ways than one. The cost of running the Senate runs into billions of dollars per year, and each Senator is given carte blanche spending authority with very little oversight. The basic salary means little to a Senator, it's his office allowances that makes him rich. Wasn't there a Democrat who turned in his office postage allowance for cash?
