I'm so sorry that I missed your post to me earlier today. Here's another story from France. This was my first trip...the backpacking thing. Went down to Nice with my buddy and we made friends with two Lebanese guys. We wanted to go to a dance club, but when we got there, they said that they didn't allow blacks, referring to our new found Lebanese friends (they said it in french, so I didn't want to use quotes). These guys were obviously not black, but they did have very curly hair and did have slightly darker complexions. Anyway, considering the racism that was demonstrated in your posts, I can understand why you would feel at home in france and why you would consider a non-racist like myself to be an "axxhole".
