Lizzie, every time anyone throws anything resembling fact at you when it contradicts your preconceived notions, you refuse to deal with and often ignore the message and the messenger. This is nothing new. Do it again if you wish. I don't care. Facts are stubborn things. They don't go away because you don't like them.

You resemble Poet. You expect to be able to toss out idiocy and no one should have the right to challenge it. You want that? Start your own BB and let only yourself on. On this one, you are going to have a problem.

the stock market is the ultimate arbiter of economic health?
On what basis could such a statement be defended? That is such crap it belongs at the bottom of an outhouse.

Yes, the market is ONE of the leading indicators. One. It is also notoriously unreliable as an indicator of economic health. That's why there are 9 others in that package of leading indicators. The stock market get a weighting of all of 3% of the total.

This is the last release of the indicators, FYI. In the light of what you've said, you might find it interesting.
