I agree with the democratic party more often than the current republican party because of positions they've taken on issues. I place principles in front of party, even though it may sound like I am party spirited, I don't really identify that much with the democratic party. But I do share their opposition to the hate speech type of rhetoric that is coming out of the hard right wing of the republican party.
