Then I suppose that not getting OBL in Sudan was the State Departments fault, not Clinton's? There was certainly more motivation post 9/11, and you would think that if Bush knew there was an opportunity to get him, he would have made the call.

re: Since then Osama has been hidden in NW Afghanistan by the locals, with some possible excursions into Pakistan. An almost impossible place to find anybody.

Especially with our resources tied down in Iraq.

Guessing at results by changing history is a fools game. But I can't help but believe that the "war on terror" would much farther advanced today if we had had the guts to chase down the al Qaeda bunch, with everything we had, while they were still concentrated in Afghanistan.

Now, they appear to grow stronger.
