That got me to thinking back to the 80s when the reports came out that most of the homeless who lived in boxes and ate out of dumpsters were Vietnam vets. Service matters? We should elect one of those guys.

It is well-known that the type of aircraft that Bush was flying on, had been scrapped from all future operations in Vietnam. So what Bush got was a cushy cop-out, while somebody else went there and died in his place.

What Bush did might have been a big compared to what Cheney did, which was to duck the whole thing altogether.
