"Yes, it is true, but it is mainly a shift among nominal Christians." You are labeling evangelicals such as the Southern Baptists 'nominal Christians'? Admittedly, many of the so-called 'strict constructionists' claim to accept all of the Bible's precepts and stories literally... (but actually take a 'smorgisborg approach', picking and choosing what to emphasize and what to ignore), but don't you think that 'nominal Christians' is a little harsh?
