That's because someone named the table BookMarks in the Oracle DB, and it was luck-of-the-draw after that. Unfortunately, it carried over when you replicated the DB in SQL. :-)

Adding a Subjectmark certainly works, although it "assumes" that all messages on the thread have not been read and are New Messages. Which is not the end of the world, but is less intuitive than the previous behavior, which assumed that New Messages meant only those posts added to the thread after the subject Subject had been, um, subjected to Subjectmarking.
