Bush has shown that the can deal with crisis, in his handling of 9/11. He has shown an ability to make tough decisions, as in the invasion of Iraq. He has shown an ability to deal with the legislative process, as when he got the vote authorizing the use of force in Iraq. He has pulled together one of the most experienced, knowledgeable, and intelligent policy teams conceivable, with people like Condy Rice, Colin Powell, Dick Cheney, and Don Rumsfeld. He has shown an ability to adjust to evolving circumstances, as in moving more rapidly towards transfer of sovereignty than originally contemplated, once it seemed wise to let the Iraqis take the leading role in reconstruction.

Kerry was dead wrong about the Communists in Vietnam in the 70s. Millions of Asian bloodlines were brutally terminated after the US left Vietnam and millions more died around the world as Soviet expansionism reached its peak.

Kerry was dead wrong about the Communists in Nicaragua in the 80s but fortunately he was still a rookie Senator who was in between rich wives and was still too impotent to cause any damage against a providential Reagan.

Kerry didn't skip a beat after the Soviets were defeated in Afghanistan and the Cold War ended.

He voted against the first Gulf war because he didn't feel that the unwieldly Desert Storm coalition was big enough! He wholeheartedly supported Clinton's ineffectual containment policies against Iraq which allowed Al Qaeda to flourish for 8 years! He voted for and against the second Gulf War when the polls told him to! And now after being wrong for so many times about the major conflicts of the last 50 years (secular fanaticism, religious fanaticism), Kerry now expects enough people to believe that he knows how to win the American way?

What Kerry's acceptance speech will start to reveal are chilling glimpses into the vacuous nature of the double-minded man of the Old Testament, one doomed to remain ignorant about the true nature of war and how the human war and peace cycle is a necessary part of a greater spiritual war that we are just not hard-wired to understand without the faith that humbles.

Look for this walking abortion freak show to also continue to demonstrate the classic liberal confusion between material poverty and the poverty of spirit. 40 million US abortions since Roe vs Wade (1973) and the Democrats are still wondering why the elements are rapidly falling in place for the systematic denial of grace that, very regrettably, will probably result in more dead Americans on American soil in our lifetimes.
