Oh, the Hitler thing again. Saddam was no Hitler. If he was, then Turkey, Iran, Syria and other neighboring countries would have begged the international community for help. As it turned out, Turkey didn't even offer the US passage to invade Iraq from the northwestern border of Iraq. That's how "scared" Turkey was, of Saddam!

Try as you might, you cannot convince anyone intelligent that Saddam was a great threat. At best, he was an aging tyrant rendered toothless by the 1991 Gulf War and the ensuing sanctions.

Saddam's "best" days were when Reagan, Rumsfeld et al were with him, supplying him with chemical weapons to use on Iranian civilians and on the Kurds in the 80's.
