I know Kerry said thats what he did but I don't personally believe that. Kerry needs to pay a small price of crow eating for saying that he did when he did not and his comrades also did not. This is my personal belief. As far as the VC or NVA he did chase down and kill, maybe he should have taken him prisoner, however, failing to take him prisoner IMO is no crime either. In combat, a lot of leeway is given to protect your own life and your comrades before taken prisoners. This is war not a game of lawn darts. If the guy didn't drop his weapons and put his hands up real fast...he's a dead man. If you capture a group of soldiers, in the transition between dropping weapons and getting the hands up in surrender, one or two are likely to get shot anyways. Thats the reality of war. All I want is for Kerry to come clean and frankly admit that he did not engage in the activities he said he and his comrades engaged in and a short apology for it. Then lets move on.
