CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush (news - web sites), for the second time in two months, took a tumble on his mountain bike while riding on his Texas ranch, a White House spokeswoman said on Monday.

"During an 18-mile ride, as bikers often do, the president took a minor spill and scraped his knee," spokeswoman Claire Buchan said. She said the president did not require medical attention after the spill.

Bush had a similar mountain bike mishap at his ranch in late May, when he toppled over while riding downhill on soil loosened by rainfall, and suffered minor cuts and abrasions.

Last year, he toppled off a high-tech Segway scooter at the Bush family estate in Kennebunkport, Maine

You cannot compare Reagan and Kerry in some ways. Kerry was a war hero, has fought for the little guy all his life and his policies actually aim to help people. Reagan was a movie star who sided with big corporate interests. Reagan had a better personality but Kerry has far more smart and ethical policies.

However there are some comparisons. Both candidates were accused of being too far right or left. Both will end up very successful presidents held in high regard even by many of their opponents. Both will defeat one term presidents who failed economically and in foreign affairs. Carter failed by being too careful, Bush by being too reckless. Also, both Reagan and Kerry have class and character.
