Kerry is trying to mask his left-ward tilt in order to attract moderates, and his supporters and the left pretty much know it.

Feigned disagreement in order to generate attention and controversy is an old Hollywood trick.

If he's elected, the mask comes off.

Howard Dean just took the podium. Huge, raucous, standing ovation. Says a lot about who's at the convention and who controls today's democrat party.

He just started, and is getting interrupted by applause after every sentence.
