No, my position was more subtle than you are making it. Precisely because Michael Moore slimes public figures, he has not committed libel per se. His film is still a deplorable pack of lies-by-insinuation, and I don't think it's a particularly good idea to show it anybody, esp. young soldiers. However, I did not say that Michael Moore should be arrested, only deplored.Face it, we're inundated with right wing propaganda that you have no problem with because you believe it furthers a "just cause No, guy, I have no problem with Iraqis & Americans taking down the statue of Saddam because I believe it's true. This little distinction - that it's true, not that it's supporting my position - seems lost on you. Americans didn't have to order Iraqis to pull down the statue of Saddam. You believe Moore & think that Iraqis loved Saddam and were sorry to see him go? After all, it's you who are defending Moore's sleeze though I'm sure you've read the long list of distortions in the film, from making it appear that the Bushes ran the Carlyle Group to his perfectly incoherent idea that the Saudis ordered up this war when they hated it like poison, to his making up newspaper articles to bolster his case that Bush stole the election, when the actual record didn't support his accusations. If you recall, the six-months study of the ballots by a consortium of major newspapers came to the conclusion that Bush would have won under a state-wide recount, so its findings were reported & vanished within a day. So Moore fabricated an article that said Gore won the election.
