Re <<Did anyone happen to catch Obama's speech? >>

Yes, it was awesome. Now I see why Ditka said no thanks.

Reagan's speech was also good.

Agreed. I got chills near the end. He got five (count 'em -- five) standing ovations in a 15 minute speech.

If Kerry wins, this guy is a hell of a challenger to Edwards in '12, or perhaps his running mate.

The future of this party is bright.

I didn't hear the speech tonite but I've heard him speak.....he's electric. Another one is Ford.......at the rate they are going, one of them will be our first black president........like you said.....2012.

If the Dems play this right, the GOP could be shut out for the next 20 years. <g>

John, Obama's speech as very good. Content, not fluff. He hit on the issues, sort of like how Ross Perot would do (i.e. assumed his audience was intelligent and outlined the issues clearly.)

Especially loved the part when he said Red states have people with different beliefs than Republicans and Blue states have people with different beliefs than Democrats. It was an excellent talk on diversity of people as well as unitedness. I like him. Good energy.

If you haven't heard Teresa Heinz speak, you should. I listened to her on cnn's video clip and she was quite good. Loved the part where she said opinionated is intelligence.
