My Thoughts on the Oklahoma Senate Race
Polipundit

Tonight, former Congressman Tom Coburn cruised to the Republican nomination in Oklahoma without needing to go through a protracted and expensive runoff. I cannot tell you how good this is for us.

1. Coburn is the strongest possible nominee. He represented the same district as the Democratic nominee, the most Democratic region of the state.
2. Coburn is an effective, articulate Republican. We need his brand of conservative courage in the Senate.

Right now, in the background, I'm listening to Illinois State Senator Barack Obama. If there is a Republican official in Illinois reading this, I want to cordially congratulate you for your incompetence. Thanks for sitting around and letting this Marxist build up a nearly insurmountable lead in Illinois.
