David, RE: ""shove it" is not a big deal, but is it really the kind of person you want as first lady? "

I think "shove it" isn't appropriate for anyone, man or woman. "Move it" would have been better.

But it's about time we stop having double standards for women speakers. Cheney said much worse. Where were you?

The demurring wall flower with no original opinion isn't going to do much for this country. It's about time this country develops an ability to co-exist with intelligent women.

RE: "What a bunch of damned fools"

We need a grey thinker for these particular times of terrorism, someone who can see the shades of grey and have the ability to hold both, not a black/white non-thinker.

Regards,
Amy J

>We are, after all, dealing with an aristocracy. The dems are going to try and elect a billionaire and 50-millionaire under the guise of their concern for the "little guy".

So you don't think there's any chance that despite the fact that Kerry and Edwards are rich, they care about the average Joe?

I hope to be filthily rich someday, and I don't think I'll ever stop caring about others. Do you really believe that that's what happens? Sounds pretty cynical to me.
