However, unlike the religious right, Islamic radicals have zero chances to control the US government. So, please don't try to change subject.

The Muslim extremists have just started on us. Let's take a look at your thought.

After analyzing just one attack we have done the following:

Created Homeland Security. A huge gaggle of 175,000 civilians all focused on terrorists.
Revamped the FBI.
Investigated ourselves to near oblivion.
Every Police Force, Fire Dept and hospital in the country has established new procedures and purchased new equipment to defend with.
We are close to beginning to overhaul the CIA.
We are considering creating yet another major govt entity.
We have added significant and very expensive additional layers of security to every transportation system, to every military base and every other government facility and to hundreds of other lucrative targets.

One could think we are doing what we gotta do...Or you could think, the terrorists are having significant success isolating us and backing us into a corner. Which by the way
is precisely the same tactic we are attempting to employ against them in their backyard.

Presently, we have most of our resources focused on defense. None of those defensive oriented folks are available for offense. That imho is an awesome win for the terrorists because defense has never won a war.

History is replete with examples of countries and governments that lost the will to take the fight to the heart of their enemy's strength. They doomed themselves to sit at home defensively and eventually lost their freedom to an aggressor.

This war is not over. It has yet to start good. Your declaration of invulnerability now is very premature.

There are 150 million Muslim militants on earth. 15 million of them are militant Muslim extremists. They have vowed to kill all Christians, kill all Jews and kill all Americans and they are working on it.

We have a lot of work to do before we can schedule the victory parades.

please don't try to change subject. Specifically, in response to your post, I asked you to define your version of "religious right", as you keep talking about whoever they are as being a significant group..... I gave you some examples....Falwell and group, Black Southern Baptists churches, Black Pentacostals, (Pentacostals total only about 600,000 in the US, smaller than a medium size city, per any of the web religion sites, so don't worry...), the Islamic terrorists....

So who are you pegging to be in your definition of "religious right"???

religious right

unlike many on this thread that still think that communism is worse than Islamic radicalism.

Communism was a worse threat then Islamic radicalism but I wouldn't say that communism still is a worse threat.
