I signed up for the in-flight massage, but I was asleep in my big comfy bunk bed and I told them not to wake me up for it, so they didn't. The flight was lovely, Inverness is idyllic. Am typing from the quaint and quite beautiful Inverness public library. We're having so much fun here. Tomorrow the kids start their riding lessons.

Our house is right on the gold course- I see the putters practicing out my kitchen window (and a most lovely gold course it is). Amazing greenness here. More shades of green than I have ever seen- it almost hurts my eyes on sunny days- when we drove round Loch Ness last weekend I was astounded at the beauty of the place. The heather was all blooming along the road from out of the cracks in the rocks, buttercups and daisies everywhere- a huge three masted ship of some time cruising the Loch- it's like a fairy tale really. Luckily Mr. X is not too unhappy with his side of the arrangement (the work side), and I just heard on the BBC last night that teachers are desperately needed in Scotland- so maybe I'll work here. The kids start school in a couple weeks- just bought the little one her uniforms for primary school. The two big kids don't have uniforms at academy.

My kids have fallen in love with the tea cakes here. They especially like this kind wrapped in silver foil which have marshmallows- and they adore Jammy Dodgers. We have taken up the custom of tea just so we can try all the cakes. I like the Almond fingers, myself.

Take care, hope we see you sometime, even though we are up here in the back of beyond (a very lovely back of beyond :-)
