POet, the way you articulate is how I moderate this thread. I like people to present opposing opinions along with their rationale. After all, we all live for a good debate, don't we. Name calling and disrespect is not tolerated.

It is good to hear from you again, too, Poet.

I thought about you a lot when I was visiting with my cousin. I told her about your husband's work with boats, and we talked about her adventure while sailing in the Pacific. She got spinal meningitis in Fiji, or some remote place like that. Her husband flew with her to New Zealand to get treatment, and her teenagers sailed their boat virtually by themselves, all the way to NZ. She has a lot of experience with tall ships, but since she was hosting the family gathering there was no time for her to relate the many adventures she had.

To get back on topic, you know I harbor a distrust of John Kerry. The race seems to be nip and tuck, so if it goes sour for Bush, I truly hope Kerry lives up to his billing.
