You are probably right. Although I really don't think the suit makes John Kerry look silly. Modern politics is as much about images as it is about words. Dukakis was derailed in part by a single image of him in a tank. That is why candidates guard their images so carefully these days. Bush is so concerned with creating positive images that he donned a flight suit and used an entire aircraft carrier as a prop. That said, the Kerry campaign would have been better off not commenting on the images.
