Teresa was a bust last night. Kerry will face his second most important moment of the campaign when he makes his acceptance speech on thursday. Will he flip and flop or will he be coherent and decisive. History says the former and that will do him in until the debates where he will get his last chance to overcome Bush. None of this means he will lose, just that it will be a 50/50 race down to the wire. How can bush break the tie? Perhaps some bold initiatives regarding 911 commish report, or a change on stem cell (which by the way has legs even for aging cons who understood last night that RRJr. was talking to them), or a new Veep on the ticket as we get closer to the Rep convention. To break the tie, all either candidates needs is to pick up 2 0r 3% changing 50/50 to 53/47. The above would cost bush little and gain him much. mike
