"For in Him dwells all the fullness of the Godhead bodily"

If you did respond to that verse I honestly can't remember how. It is my distinct memory that you wanted to wait until you got a hold of a particular commentary which you clearly implied would shed some light on the passage. Did you ever get that commentary? If so, how do you explain Paul's clear assertion that at the time Colossians was written Jesus still had His body. Colossians was written years after the resurrection. Jesus had a body then and he has that same body today. When he returns, he will do it in that body and as it says clearly in Acts, he will be seen. Christ will not use pagan armies to do his work. He will conquer His enemies Himself.

As far as "tradition" goes, they are perfectly fine as long as they are apostolic and scriptural. The Physical resurrection and future bodily return of Jesus are two such unassailable and historical doctrines that the Church has believed since the apostles wrote the New Testament.

I don't know if you know who Phillips Craig and Dean are but they deny that God is triune. Here is a link to todays "Dividing Line" show with James White and his guest Steve Camp. Have a listen and you will get a sense of the seriousness of such basic doctrinal errors. It takes them awhile to update the recent show link so you might have to listen to it later.
