The African American speaker who dazzled the Dem masses last night is a state rep in Illinois. Just the latest example of how few minorities ever rise to important positions within the Dem party. Even though there are plenty of minorities in the Dem low level jobs, the Dems seem to never let that cream rise to the top. No surprise they are the party that's never had a black Secretary of State or National Security Advisor.
