I think Teresa showed everyone that you can speak your mind, be independent and assertive while also being a sexy, warm and caring woman.

Independent women and junk yard dogs are not synonymous. I think that is what most men are afraid of ;ie,that women who speak their minds will become barracudas who chew up men for dinner.

Rush Limbaugh and his "feminazi" label of women's liberation supporters is largely responsible for the false illusion of that image. Also, the women's movement has intimidated many men who now have to compete with women for jobs and that hasn't helped erase the illusion.

Hurrah for Teresa !! I look forward to her presence on the national front and it's effect on male/female relationships.

I

Mrs. Kerry was very strong and meaningful. She makes Laura Bush look like a subservient robot. Her line about how someday "opinionated" women will be known as "smart and well-informed just like men" was a knockout punch to her critics.
