OT Lizzie, did you notice an uptick in viruses today?

This is the worst day I've ever seen. Received 20 viruses in an hour, of which Norton captured all of them in mail before they could do any damage. The filter I created that's near the entry to our company captured a bunch too (this filter captures around 1000 junk messages/per day per account so normally we only get around 3 to 5 junk mail per day. We never get 20 viruses in an hour.)

Sure looked like MSNBC was infected today.

All our computers/servers were up-to-date on the latest patches, windowsupdates, virus scans, and norton downloads too, we're using Norton 2003 with current download subscriptions. Except one of the machines had the latest McAfee, which didn't capture today's virus that it should have - so he's going to install Norton on there. We'll upgrade all systems to Norton 2004.

Saw a post somewhere about Cisco having a spam filter. Maybe need to get that in here, if it's not already.

Wish these virus spammers would get a real job.

Regards,
Amy J
