I think that there were many JFK wannabees that came from my generation. First we had clinton--remember that picture of him shaking hands with JFK. It was not lost on Kerry early on that he was from boston and his initials were JFK (now jfkHeinz) too. I was in a generation of folks who wanted to be Pres. I wanted to be the first Jewish President as i remember and i idolized JFK as well. Then the assasination and Vietnam and it got all screwed up. Now looking back on it all and remembering the raging hormones souped up in the 60s with some fine drugs and i think now perhaps we didnt want to emulate JFK for the hard job as President. No as the late great John Belushi said in Blues Brothers--"we want the women." Clinton thought Marilyn Monroe and ended up with Monica Lewinsky. Kerry thought Rose Kennedy and got Teresa and me, well i will leave that one alone. (g) mike
