Not really, Buddy. What you misunderstand was the nature of the UN Resolution authorizing military action in the first Gulf War: we were only allowed to remove Saddam from Kuwait. Removal of Saddam from power was not authorized and would have been "illegal." The "shame" (if you will) was to obey the UN...obviously a mistake in your mind and I agree. An uprising would have been moot. Thankfully, this version of Bush doesn't feel so beholden to the criminal UN--MK--
