Yes, it takes village idiot to have a village, that is why we are so happy with a proportional representation, multy-party system, no need for a two-party system. (and due to a center-based-consensus-system, we can have a lot of funny small parties, without any unproportional swinging stuff) <I also thought they had high income taxes and sure enough, it looks like they do:> I also know we get a lot for the taxes we pay, but I also know that both adding and subtracting is the first problem many stumbles on in school. Especially to add and subtract both positive and negative numbers. However, after that is done, regular multiplication and division, like in proportional representation, becomes much easier to for the thoughts. Luckily, I know of nobody who would agree to a system where the majority of taxes would go to some far away place, where only one local elected is sent to. Ilmarinen PS Do you think you are capable of doing some personal family adding and subtracting, plus division, to figure out your personal costs for local infrastructure, education, health care plus higher out-of-village-education?? That is, some have an educational system based on meritocracy, other stick to local property taxes. For higher education it gets even funnier. Elderly can always move to a mobile trailer park in either Florida, Texas or Las Vegas, or some maybe closer optimized single-seat-district. (Alaska is also good, except for the heating costs) PPS If you did not understand some of these basic things, try to produce a question in any form or variation.
