I haven't cared all that much for the content of the convention (with the exceptions of Clinton and Obama)... the good sign is how united the Dems appear to be.

Edwards is on the tube right now citing billions of dollars worth of liberal giveaways. There is nobody there to say, "yeah, but how are you going to pay for it" or "but what about this huge Social Security Unfunded Liability?"

End the war in Iraq asap.

David, RE: "Edwards is on the tube right now citing billions of dollars worth of liberal giveaways."

What goodies does hightech get?

Am guessing it's the broadband initiative and RND tax credit.

On another note,

"the overall income Americans reported to the government shrank for two consecutive years after the Internet stock market bubble burst in 2000, the first time that has effectively happened since the modern tax system was introduced during World War II, newly disclosed information from the Internal Revenue Service shows. No wonder people are grumpy. All of us need some perspective. In some foreign countries, they experience the equivalent of the Great Depression every year.
