Moore is such a caricaturist, and lightweight at that, it's hard to imagine that anyone would cite anything in his stuff on a political thread, whether they agreed with him or not ..... i'd be ashamed to quote him in support of any idea, and i'd have no interest in replying to anyone who did, so there'd be no reason to bring him up at all .... here is a good place -g- .... i haven't seen the recent flic, been out of town, but saw the Bowling for Columbine thing, it was fun but absurd, one thing noticed broadly here was his depiction of canadians, being all fat dim-witted people hanging outside a doughnut shop, and too bloody stupid to lock their doors at home, they were all getting ripped off by druggies breaking into their houses, right then, you could tell

His premise in BfC, that there is a fear-based culture in the US, rang a little true .... but only a little, and you can hear that one ringing in a lot of places, for various causes and to various effects .... don't know what his premise is in the recent Fahrenheit thing, probably that he doesn't like Bush .... well lots more don't like Bush, but they have thought processes leading to the conclusion .... but then, they don't have flickey-flashey picture editing, or popcorn, i guess eh
