Kerry was very clear about Iraq. Yes, disarm Saddam but first make sure he had the WMD's by allowing UN inspections to be finished. If we had, we'd have avoided a huge costly war, and we'd probably have Saddam out of power now too by less costly means. Or he'd be in a tight box surrounded by US and a much wider coalition. Bush's worst screw up of all was not lying to congress and the people, but having no post-invasion plan whatsoever, just assuming Iraqis would welcome us with candy and flowers.
Two years later, 80 dead in Iraq just yesterday.
