Hi Joe. FWIW, I'm still expecting a $ consolidation to 89

area, before it moves higher. That would give the PM stocks more upside in the ST.

But, over the past few days, the dollar has been stronger than I'd expected.

Hi LJ, I'm just back from holiday.

Can you post over on my thread your current thoughts on the US dollar or link to where you have done it? It appears we are at a critical juncture. I was able to do some reading while I was away and a few commentators have pointed out that the dollar may perversely rally for quite a while despite the horrendous fundamentals.

This would of course be bad for gold.

The lack of activity in the precious metal stocks I follow indicates a lot of people are probably thinking the same thing. Which trend is about to emerge or be broken?
