You think Moore is pro-American? If one were to assemble a checklist of classic American tenets versus classic Marxist tenets I have no doubt as to which category Moore would overwhelmingly align with. Saddam used WMD's against even his own country and was vigorously pursuing even deadlier programs (recent information regarding weapons-grade plutonium is yet another unpleasant addition).

Sorry you turn a blind eye to history and the horrors of Saddam and continue to defend him.

I couldn't care less about what you apparently consider our "good standing in the world." Do you admire the French as they stand by and prevent efforts to relieve the genocide in the Sudan?--MK--

Moore is pro-American

Just three direct quotes to prove once again you have no idea what you are talking about:

While promoting his book, “Dude Where’s My Country,” in Germany, Moore gave a speech in which he asserted that,“Americans are possibly the dumbest people on the planet…

On his book tour to promote, “Dude Where’s My Country,” Moore stopped off in Cambridge, England, where he lamented before a large audience that,‘You’re stuck with being connected to this country of mine, which is known for bringing sadness and misery to places around the globe.”

In an open letter to the German people in Die Zeit, Moore asked, “Should such an ignorant people [as the United States] lead the world?

U.S. Says Pakistan Captured Qaeda Bombing Suspect

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - A U.S. official on Thursday confirmed that Pakistan has captured a senior al Qaeda member wanted by the United States in connection with the 1998 bombings of two U.S. embassies in East Africa.
"He is wanted for the death of Americans," the official said on condition of anonymity. The United States had offered a reward of $25 million for the capture of the suspect, Ahmed Khalfan Ghailini.

A spokesman for the Manhattan U.S. Attorney's office had no comment on the arrest of Ghailini, who is one of a long list of defendants indicted by a Manhattan federal grand jury in 1998 for the bombings.

Four followers of al Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden were sentenced to life in prison in October 2001 by a Manhattan federal judge for the bombings. They were convicted in May 2001.
