First lesson I learned when I moved to management, don't fear making a mistake. The only way to insure you don't make a mistake is do nothing. Make a decision based on the best info available and that is all you can do.

Folks that come in afterwards to criticize have never made a decision in their lives IMO and just gain strength by sniping. Those who critique and offer helpful suggestions for the next time are truly helpful.

There doesn't seem many on the left that understand this at this stage. Politics I guess.

I completely disagree. It's not a negative at all.

It is just not a pre-disposition to go to war because of an old grudge. Everybody now knows that the predisposition was there. It's been very well documented.

Bush and his people LIED about the intelligence and WMD's. If you think they were so inept they believed all their BS, you under estimate them. Or even if they were that ignorant and reckless, what does that say? No, this was the Tonkin Gulf II, a way to start a war the Halliburtons of the world want based on a manufatcured trumped-up series of lies and scare tactics. Shame on LBJ, Bush and anyone else who tries it ever again.
