How does Jenna help him?? Laura?
It softens his edges. The halo effect. Positive feelings.

Just like Billy Carter and Roger Clinton reflected on their brothers, negatively.

Perception and selective perception.
Your selective perception and mine view the GHW Bush spot on CNN as negative. We are not the target. Nothing will shakes us into voting for Bush.Undecideds may be influenced. True believers get reinforcement.

Reach and frequency.
Marketing/propaganda comes in many forms now. It's just not the ads and Faux news.

Reach:

Reach is the percentage of the total "target"market population that will see the message over a certain period of time.

Frequency:

Frequency is the average number of times the "target" has the opportunity to be exposed to the messsage over the defined period of time.

The more the target sees the message the more likely they are to be influenced.

R + F is why campaign war chests of money are so important. The more money, the more reach and the more frequency. Hence the better chance to influence target voters.
