..avoiding being used by foreign governments to achieve their ends at our expense? I agree in general. This applies to all foreign governments, not just hostile ones.

The things I said re. foreign service personnel and etc. being barred from working for "hostile" governemts, I'd extend to ALL foreign governments. I'll admit this is simply my hair-brained idea. However, I'm throwing it out there because I see co-optation of our people happening.
