Just a little anecdotal evidence from one American family.

My brother-in-law has switched from supporting Nader to supporting Kerry based on Teresa Heinz Kerry's speech. And my uncle has moved from a reluctant Kerry supporter (he was thinking of not voting at all out of disgust for the political process and the lack of choices) to a enthusiastic Kerry supporter after watching tonight's speech.

That's two more votes for Kerry. Votes that weren't there on Monday....

I think there're are three other decent Republicans. Olympia Snow, Lincoln Chafee and I can't recall the other one's name.
