I can see some merit in Zonder's idea, but not with the current structure of the UN. I'd like to see a NUN with elected officials so We the Sheeple can turf the rogues out.

For example, a legitimate government could be a post NUN invasion government, which is unelected, such as the current Iraqi government. But in general, I can't imagine how a legitimate government could be accepted if it's not by way of a vote. The other means of forming a government are too icky for my liking.

A NUN would have to be elected for example. The current WWII Victors Club is no way to run a railroad, though it's better than all-out dog-eat-dog Arabian Nights shifting alliances and conspiracies.
