I was only half-watching the Kerry video, but it seemed to mostly cover his time in the Service, and post-war protests. There was very little about his long term of service in the Senate. His record there should have been the most significant part of the video, since it is the most relevant to his performance as a leader of our country. Are we to presume that his Senatorial record is not something they want the electorate's attention drawn to?

As far as his speech, it was the usual "we're going to do this," and "we're going to do that," but not once did he even hint at how those noble goals were going to be accomplished. Typical political non-speak, which is the hallmark of a politician, not a leader.

It's a sad state of affairs that the truly good and capable people of our nation would never consider running for high office. Anyone who would willingly subject their family to the partisan, self-centered, tabloid-minded environment does not have the character to be our president.
