John Edwards made it on his own, but you can't expect all of us to have his intelligence and his capacity for hard work.

Do you find it problematic when those with greater intelligence and capacity for hard work are more successful than others?

At least give everybody a shot at a decent education and the opportunity for a job that pays a livable wage.

Aside from those born with serious physical handicaps, do you really think that this country does not offer people a shot at a livable wage? If you do, we must live in two different countries.

I absolutely hate this "two America" theme.

I find it divisive, pessimistic and I believe it encourages visions of entitlement, laziness, guilt and envy. I don't fit his image, and I don't think he exemplifies my America, so in my eyes, he doesn't have what it takes.

IMO, with rhetoric like this, he encourages detachment and disharmony, but I'm glad you like him.
