Doesnt take rocket science to know that. But the TRICK is to wean ourselves gradually so as to avoid terrible economic and personal hardships in the switch. Hybrid cars as an example is a good start, cleaner deisel engines are coming out in 2006. Gradually we will switch to a new technology but that will take 30 years or more, in the interim we must manage the resources effeciently. jdn

Sounds to me like made a mistake with this DNC talking point. Don't you really mean:
