But we cannot get this serious about comparing Clinton to Bush. Clinton is not running and we have seen how popular he is even today.

What is at issue here is that when you sign up you show up. That is, IMO showing responsibility. Bush is exhibitinh that trait even as a President. When he sent out his intelligence team to give him intelligence on Iraq, he needs to take the responsibility. Tony Blair di, why not Bush. Bush does not take responsibility. Would you trust someone with that.

On the 9/11 report, he was very tepid to start. Then when the pressure incerased he in now calling for a high tech conference but it is from his ranch (as always a vacationing President). And then he tells the Senate committee to meet in a special session. He needs to be pro active not reactive.

Another example where he is reactive; Iraq. He sent in the troops with a plan for war but did not have a plan for peace. I thought the US military is always used to fight for peace. There was no plan for peace in Iraq.
