I wouldn't go so far as to say "fraud," but I do have my doubts about the certainty of his convictions. Whether that is preferrable to having a leader with strong convictions that I may disagree with is another matter.

I personally don't believe GWB had very many strong political convictions (with the notable exception of his faith) prior to 9/11. Such strength of belief is often the result of being forced to make difficult decisions in difficult times. Perhaps Kerry's convictions have yet to be forged.

Incidentally, your sentiment is a valuable one. I do not berate bush, nor do I berate his supporters (in general), nor do I waver in my support of our troops. That does not, however, mean that leaders should be exempt from criticism in wartime or that certain people on here don't deserve to be subject to the same verbal abuse that they dish out.
